An Interactive Visualization Web Application for Industrial-Focused Statistical Process Control Analysis

Statistical process control (SPC) implementation plays a major role in quality assurance during the manufacturing process. Nevertheless, adoption rate of SPC commercial software solutions is unsatisfactory most Malaysian companies due to high subscription costs and difficulties applying without proper know-how, guidance, training. This study proposes development purpose-built interactive data visualization web application for rapid analysis industry using open-sourced packages. An agile model applied as methodology. In requirement phase, an interview session was conducted identify project requirements among stakeholders, i.e. industrial practitioners that are involved with analysis. Based on feedback expectations from design incorporates parameter settings automated reporting proposed. The developed R programming language Shiny package library, deployed at ShinyApps.io, service provider. For evaluation, usability testing procedure designed five determine usefulness application. outcome indicated positive results evaluators. conclusion, web-app can assist users, particularly sectors, perform fast analytics, visualization, ease.
